Sandboxed code execution via global loop variables
Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026
Improper privilege management in ANGLE in Google Chrome on Mac before 148.0.7778.216 allows remote attackers to execute code inside the sandbox. The EnsureLoopForwardProgress pass incorrectly selects shader globals as loop variables while rewriting Metal Shading Language loops for forward progress. Opening a crafted HTML page is required; successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled code in Chrome's renderer sandbox rather than escaping it.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
