CVE-2026-9983Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Sandboxed code execution via stale PathOps list head

Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026

Type confusion in Skia PathOps in Google Chrome before 148.0.7778.216 allows remote attackers to execute code inside the sandbox via crafted HTML. SkOpCoincidence::fixUp and markCollapsed reuse a stale coincidence-list head after removing nodes, leaving released spans reachable for invalid upCast operations. A user must open attacker-controlled Canvas2D or SVG content; the reported execution remains inside the renderer sandbox, with no standalone sandbox escape established.
