Sandbox escape via GFX use-after-free
Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026
Use-after-free in Google Chrome's GFX component before 148.0.7778.216 allows remote attackers to escape the renderer sandbox on macOS. The GFX component accesses an object after its memory is freed while processing crafted HTML, but restricted bug details do not identify the object or function. The gate is prior compromise of the renderer process plus interaction with crafted HTML; successful exploitation crosses the browser sandbox boundary.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
