Sandbox escape via ANGLE heap buffer overflow
Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026
Heap buffer overflow in ANGLE in Google Chrome before 148.0.7778.216 on Windows allows remote attackers to escape the sandbox via crafted HTML. Google identifies the component and weakness, but the restricted bug record does not disclose the affected function or the operation that mis-sizes the heap access. Exploitation requires user interaction and prior renderer compromise; success permits execution across Chrome's renderer sandbox boundary.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
