Memory disclosure via uncleared OA buffer allocation
Published Oct 28, 2026 · Updated Oct 28, 2026
Information disclosure in Linux 6.11 Xe OA buffers allows local users to read stale kernel memory through an mmap mapping. The xe_oa_alloc_oa_buffer() function allocates uncleared pages, and opening streams with DRM_XE_OA_PROPERTY_OA_DISABLED bypasses initialization before userspace mapping. Exploitation requires access to the Xe device and permission to open the relevant OA stream; the disclosed contents are remnants of previously freed pages.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
