Hang or reboot via uncleared RGMII interrupt
Published Oct 28, 2026 · Updated Oct 28, 2026
Denial of service in the Linux dwmac1000 driver allows attackers to hang or reboot systems during Wake-on-LAN resume. The RGMII path leaves GMAC_RGSMIIIS unread, retaining pending status that generates an interrupt storm when the MAC reset temporarily unmasks interrupts. Reported failures require the resume thread and MAC interrupt to share a CPU on affected hardware; attacker control over these conditions is not established.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
