Unspecified impact via dangling GPIO name pointer
Published Oct 28, 2026 · Updated Oct 28, 2026
Use-after-free in Linux shared GPIO proxy lookup allows attackers to cause unspecified impact via consumer-device removal. The gpio_shared_add_proxy_lookup function stores a borrowed consumer kobject name in lookup->dev_id, leaving a dangling pointer when the device is freed before the table. Reachability requires shared GPIO proxy use and that lifetime mismatch; attacker privileges and concrete consequences are not published.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
