CVE-2026-99152Network attack vector

Kernel fault via unchecked management-response task identifiers

Published Oct 28, 2026 · Updated Oct 28, 2026

NULL-pointer dereference in Linux libiscsi allows remote attackers to trigger a kernel oops via crafted iSCSI responses. In __iscsi_complete_pdu(), management-response task lookup checks the pool index but accepts unused slots, whose NULL connection pointer is dereferenced during completion. Exploitation requires control of the connected iSCSI target or injection into its traffic; the fault interrupts processing and panics the host when panic_on_oops is enabled.
