CVE-2026-99134

Kernel crash via association-response cleanup race

Published Oct 28, 2026 · Updated Oct 28, 2026

A race in Linux mac802154 allows attackers to crash the kernel via association responses during IEEE 802.15.4 association. mac802154_process_association_resp() dereferences local->assoc_dev without synchronization against cleanup that clears or frees the coordinator. Exploitation requires a racing response during an active association; repeated responses also overwrite the status and address inconsistently, while arbitrary code execution is not established.
