CVE-2026-99114Network attack vector

Information disclosure via uncleared filesystem control flags

Published Oct 28, 2026 · Updated Oct 28, 2026

Information disclosure in Linux ksmbd allows remote attackers to read four stale response bytes through compound SMB requests. smb2_get_info_filesystem() returns FS_CONTROL_INFORMATION without assigning FileSystemControlFlags, exposing bytes left by an earlier response replaced with a shorter error reply. Exposure requires a running ksmbd server, access to the filesystem-information operation, and overlapping compound responses; standalone requests disclose nothing.
