Kernel panic via unchecked zero-size allocation
Published Oct 26, 2026 · Updated Oct 26, 2026
An allocation validation flaw in Linux TEE allows local users to crash the kernel via a zero-size shared-memory request. The tee_dyn_shm_alloc_helper() function passes the unchecked size to alloc_pages_exact(), reaching undefined get_order(0) behavior and an allocator warning. Access to the affected TEE_IOC_SHM_ALLOC path is required; panic_on_warn turns the warning into a kernel panic, while otherwise the allocation fails.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
