Kernel warnings via unbalanced runtime clock disabling
Published Oct 26, 2026 · Updated Oct 26, 2026
Clock imbalance in Linux Samsung I2S triggers a kernel warning during runtime suspend on systems such as Exynos5250 Arndale. samsung_i2s_probe assigns op_clk without enabling it, but i2s_runtime_suspend disables both clocks, unbalancing their enable counts. Exposure requires the affected driver and hardware clock configuration; the published evidence establishes a boot warning, not an attacker-controlled crash or compromise.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
