Sandbox escape via out-of-bounds GPU write
Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Google Chrome's GPU component before 148.0.7778.216 allows remote attackers to escape the sandbox via crafted HTML. Google identifies the GPU subsystem as the affected locus but keeps the underlying bug details restricted, so the exact unchecked operation is undisclosed. Exploitation requires a previously compromised renderer process and a crafted page, and the bounded consequence is escape from that renderer sandbox.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
