Security-label loss via reused-superblock flag omission
Published Oct 23, 2026 · Updated Oct 23, 2026
Label loss in Linux SELinux allows local users to disable NFSv4 per-file security labeling by mounting the same export twice. In selinux_set_mnt_opts(), early exits for an initialized superblock omit SECURITY_LSM_NATIVE_LABELS, causing nfs_get_root() to clear NFS_CAP_SECURITY_LABEL on the shared client state. The condition requires SELinux native labeling, a security_label export, and the ability to mount it again; labeling is disabled on both mounts, without an established arbitrary-code execution consequence.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
