Sandbox escape via GPU out-of-bounds read
Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in Google Chrome before 148.0.7778.216 allows remote attackers to escape its sandbox via a crafted HTML page. The public Chrome record identifies the GPU component but does not disclose the affected code path or the untrusted index, offset, or length that crosses a buffer boundary. Exploitation requires user interaction with the crafted page and prior renderer-process compromise; successful use can cross the renderer sandbox and affect the host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
