Probe-time trap via late clock-array count initialization
Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026
Linux's AC100 RTC driver triggers a probe-time trap through incorrect clock-array initialization; attacker control is not established. The ac100_rtc_register_clks() function stores clock pointers in hws[] before setting num, leaving the sanitizer-visible array length at zero despite sufficient allocation. Probing requires CONFIG_UBSAN_BOUNDS and GCC 15.1+ or Clang 20.1+ for bounds reports; CONFIG_UBSAN_TRAP turns the first store into a trap, without an established data-disclosure or code-execution consequence.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
