Unspecified impact via premature alarm interrupt handling
Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026
Linux's SPEAr RTC initialization race allows attackers to cause unspecified impact through an early alarm interrupt. In spear_rtc_probe(), devm_request_irq() enables the handler before the MMIO address and spinlock are initialized. Exposure requires the affected RTC hardware and an alarm interrupt during probe; public sources do not establish attacker control or a specific resulting failure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
