CVE-2026-98835Hinoki check available

Out-of-bounds read via off-by-one register validation

Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026

An out-of-bounds read in the Linux kionix-kx022a driver allows attackers to access data beyond a sampling-frequency table. The kx022a_read_raw function accepts a register-derived index equal to the number of entries in kx022a_accel_samp_freq_table instead of rejecting it. Reaching the faulty lookup requires the affected accelerometer driver and that register value; attacker control and further security consequences are undocumented.
