CVE-2026-98767Public exploitHinoki check available

Kernel panic via uncleared USB interrupt

Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026

Denial of service in the Linux DWC3 USB gadget driver allows attackers to panic the kernel via an invalid event-buffer count. The dwc3_check_event_buf() function rejects an oversized GEVNTCOUNT value without acknowledging the interrupt, leaving a level-triggered interrupt asserted until repeated unhandled interrupts cause a kernel panic. The documented trigger requires direct controller-register access on DWC3 gadget hardware; an unprivileged or network trigger is not established.
