CVE-2026-98758

Freed-state access via asynchronous teardown callbacks

Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026

Use-after-free in Linux UCSI GLINK allows attackers to access freed kernel state via callbacks racing with driver removal. In pmic_glink_ucsi_remove(), notification callbacks remain active after ucsi_unregister(), allowing queued work to dereference the freed connector array or repeat instance registration and unregistration. The race requires the affected driver during removal; attacker control, required privileges, and a concrete security outcome beyond invalid kernel-state access are not documented.
