Invalid memory access via SCO teardown race
Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026
Use-after-free in Linux Bluetooth SCO setup allows attackers to cause invalid kernel memory reads via a connection teardown race. In hci_enhanced_setup_sync(), capability checks and find_next_esco_param() dereference the ACL parent without holding hci_dev_lock while another workqueue releases it. Triggering requires enhanced SCO setup to overlap parent disconnection; attacker privileges and consequences beyond the demonstrated invalid read are not published.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
