Memory corruption via unlocked ISO fragment queueing
Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026
A race in Bluetooth ISO transmission in Linux 6.0 allows local users to corrupt kernel memory via fragmented packet sends. The hci_queue_iso() function appends fragments without the queue lock, allowing concurrent transmit processing to free a saved tail before insertion writes through it. Reaching the flaw requires ISO transmission and concurrent queue draining; public evidence does not establish privilege escalation or remote triggering.
