Out-of-bounds reads via ANA bounds-check underflow
Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026
Out-of-bounds reads in Linux NVMe multipath allow attackers to trigger invalid kernel memory access via malformed ANA logs. The nvme_parse_ana_log function subtracts untrusted object sizes from the buffer length before checking offsets, allowing unsigned underflow to bypass bounds checks. The path requires CONFIG_NVME_MULTIPATH and an ANA-capable controller supplying inconsistent data; demonstrated invalid reads do not establish data disclosure or code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
