Host warning via omitted instruction trap entries
Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026
Trap handling in Linux arm64 KVM allows guest OS users to trigger a host kernel warning by executing a hidden TLBI OS instruction. populate_nv_trap_config() omits fine-grained UNDEF entries without FEAT_FGT, sending the trapped instruction to handle_tlbi_el1() instead of rejecting it early. The trigger requires execution at guest vEL1 with FEAT_TLBIOS hidden on hardware lacking FEAT_FGT; the documented consequence is a warning, not a demonstrated crash or privilege escalation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
