Heap disclosure via out-of-bounds transmit padding
Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026
Heap disclosure in the Linux cw1200 driver allows attackers to read kernel memory through transmit transfers to a malicious device. cw1200_data_write() sends a bus-aligned length from a frame buffer without reserved tailroom or initialized padding. Exploitation requires a bogus SDIO or SPI device receiving transmitted frames; SDIO transfers expose up to 511 bytes per frame.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
