Kernel crash via unchecked ACPI label allocation
Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026
A NULL-pointer dereference in Linux PAC1934 ACPI parsing allows attackers to crash the kernel when label allocation fails. The pac1934_acpi_parse_channel_config function writes a terminating byte through the result of devm_kmemdup without checking whether allocation succeeded. Reachability requires PAC1934 ACPI channel configuration parsing and an allocation failure; the disclosure establishes no attacker-controlled trigger or remote attack path.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
