Resource leak via skipped probe-failure cleanup
Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026
Resource leakage in Linux sun4i-gpadc-iio allows attackers to cause unspecified impact via thermal-zone registration failure. The sun4i_gpadc_probe function returns after devm_thermal_of_zone_register fails without unregistering the IIO map array or disabling runtime power management. The path requires the affected driver to probe and registration to fail with an error other than ENODEV; attacker control and consequences beyond retained resources are not documented.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
