Kernel crash via uninitialized clock-parent metadata
Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026
Uninitialized data in Linux 7.0 ADF4377 clock registration allows attackers to cause a kernel crash during driver initialization. The adf4377_clk_register() function assigns init.parent_data without clearing init.parent_names and leaves other parent_data members uninitialized. Exposure requires the affected clock-registration path and CONFIG_INIT_STACK_ALL_PATTERN or CONFIG_INIT_STACK_NONE; the disclosure establishes crash potential but does not describe an attacker-controlled trigger or required privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
