Invalid kernel-memory access via undrained IRQ work
Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026
Use-after-free in the Linux gp2ap020a00f light driver allows attackers to access freed kernel memory during device teardown. The gp2ap020a00f_remove() path frees the IRQ without draining queued work, which subsequently calls iio_trigger_poll() on a freed trigger. Reachability requires pending sensor IRQ work during removal or probe-error cleanup; attacker privileges and consequences beyond the invalid memory access are not established.
