Out-of-bounds reads via oversized secret-list iteration
Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026
Out-of-bounds reading in Linux s390 UV secret lookup allows attackers to trigger invalid kernel-memory reads via secret searches. In arch/s390/kernel/uv.c, find_secret_in_page uses the total secret count to index a page containing at most 85 entries instead of using that page's entry count. The path requires more than 85 stored secrets and a lookup targeting a later page or an absent secret; upstream does not establish attacker privileges, disclosure to a caller, or a kernel crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
