Heap disclosure via unchecked Bluetooth frame lengths
Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026
Out-of-bounds reads in Linux Bluetooth BNEP allow local users to disclose kernel heap data through short transmitted Ethernet frames. bnep_net_xmit() reads a 14-byte header without checking the available length; receive handlers also omit header-length checks and let control frames fall through to Ethernet submission. Transmission requires CAP_NET_RAW and a BNEP interface, while receive processing requires traffic reaching a BNEP session; arbitrary code execution is not established.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
