Authenticated order disclosure and modification via unchecked AJAX
Published Sep 19, 2026 · Updated Sep 19, 2026
Missing authorization in Partial Shipment for WooCommerce 3.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter any order's shipment data. Three AJAX handlers accept an attacker-supplied order_id without capability, nonce, or order-ownership checks, then expose item details or write shipped quantities. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to read any customer's item names and quantities, change shipment status, and trigger order-status transitions.
