Incorrect branching via misencoded immediate comparisons
Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026
Incorrect code generation in the Linux MIPS32 BPF JIT allows attackers to obtain incorrect comparison results via BPF programs. In emit_jmp_i64, addu interprets the operand 1 as register $at instead of an immediate, corrupting JEQ/JNE comparisons against negative values. Exposure requires execution through the MIPS32 BPF JIT; upstream does not establish attacker privileges or a resulting privilege escalation, disclosure, or crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
