Unspecified impact via stale RX-page pointer
Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026
Stale-page reuse in Linux 6.14 stmmac allows attackers unspecified impact via the receive path after socket-buffer allocation fails. In stmmac_rx(), failed napi_build_skb() leaves buf->page referencing a recycled page, so stmmac_rx_refill() skips allocation and reuses that page in an RX descriptor. The path requires an active stmmac interface and allocation failure; attacker control, required privileges, and consequences beyond incorrect page reuse are not established.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
