Authenticated database disclosure via unprepared post ID query
Published Sep 19, 2026 · Updated Sep 19, 2026
SQL injection in Custom Field Template 2.7.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read database data via post_ID. The post-edit handler checks an integer-cast post ID for permission but sends the preserved, unescaped string to an unprepared SQL query. Contributor-level access and a valid post-edit nonce are required, and the demonstrated consequence is database confidentiality loss.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
