Out-of-bounds VRAM addressing via undersized backing allocation
Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026
Incorrect VRAM addressing in Linux 6.19 Nouveau allows attackers to reach memory outside its backing buffer via GPU memory migration. nouveau_dmem_chunk_alloc() registers a multichunk region but allocates backing VRAM for only one chunk, so nouveau_dmem_page_addr() resolves later pages outside that allocation. Exposure requires the Nouveau device-private memory path; attacker privileges and concrete crash or disclosure outcomes are not established publicly.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
