CVE-2026-98483Hinoki check available

Unspecified impact via dangling general-bytes pointer

Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026

Linux NFC contains a use-after-free that allows attackers to cause unspecified impact via general-bytes retrieval. nfc_get_local_general_bytes returns a pointer into local->gb after nfc_llcp_local_put can free its containing object. The defect requires callers to access that pointer after the final reference is dropped; attacker prerequisites and resulting security consequences are not documented.
