Storage hang via quiesced internal command queue
Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026
A UFS recovery deadlock in Linux 6.19 allows attackers to hang storage I/O via unspecified vectors during device error recovery. ufshcd_err_handling_prepare() quiesces the shared tagset, preventing internal commands issued by ufshcd_verify_dev_init() from dispatching and creating a circular wait. Exposure requires the affected UFS recovery path; the published record does not establish an attacker-controlled trigger or required privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
