Interrupt-file access via vCPU migration race
Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026
Race condition in Linux RISC-V KVM allows local users to read or alter another vCPU's interrupt file through device ioctls. kvm_riscv_aia_imsic_rw_attr() retains a CPU and interrupt-file index across concurrent vCPU migration, so imsic_vsfile_rw() accesses a file reassigned to another vCPU. Access requires the relevant KVM device descriptor and a migration race involving an IMSIC VS-file; arbitrary memory access or code execution is not established.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
