Unintended device-buffer export via missing rejection callback
Published Oct 18, 2026 · Updated Oct 18, 2026
Improper buffer handling in Linux before 7.2.7 allows local users to request unintended device-buffer exports through the amdxdna driver. In amdxdna_gem.c, amdxdna_gem_dev_obj_funcs lacks an export callback that rejects requests for device buffers never intended for export. Access requires the relevant AMD NPU driver and device access; the published description and patch do not establish a specific data-disclosure, privilege-escalation, or service-interruption consequence.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
