Unspecified impact via premature device-tree node release
Published Oct 14, 2026 · Updated Oct 14, 2026
Use-after-free in Linux 6.18 Exynos PMU setup allows attackers to cause unspecified impact via interrupt-generator node reuse. The setup_cpuhp_and_cpuidle() function releases intr_gen_node with of_node_put() after reading its resource address, then passes that pointer to of_syscon_register_regmap(). The affected path concerns gs101 CPU idle setup; attacker-controlled input, required privileges, and a concrete security consequence are not disclosed.
