Kernel crash via uninitialized power-sequencing list
Published Oct 14, 2026 · Updated Oct 14, 2026
NULL dereference in Linux power sequencing allows attackers to crash the kernel via allocation-failure cleanup. pwrseq_unit_new() leaves unit->list uninitialized, but pwrseq_unit_release() calls list_del() on it after pwrseq_unit_setup_deps() fails to allocate memory. The failure requires this setup path to execute; attacker control and required privileges are undisclosed, and a system-wide panic depends on kernel configuration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
