Kernel abort via invalid device-memory zeroing
Published Oct 14, 2026 · Updated Oct 14, 2026
Invalid device-memory clearing in Linux qla2xxx allows attackers to trigger a synchronous external abort during QLAFX00 requests. __qla2x00_alloc_iocbs() clears the device-mapped request slot with ordinary memset(), which emits instructions invalid for Device memory on architectures such as ARM64. The fault requires the QLAFX00 path and incompatible memory instructions; attacker control and required privileges are not documented.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
