Freed-memory access via scheduler lifetime race
Published Oct 12, 2026 · Updated Oct 12, 2026
Use-after-free in Linux kernel cache-aware scheduling allows attackers to access freed kernel memory via concurrent task execution. account_mm_sched() accesses task->mm->sc_stat while another CPU switches the task's address space and frees the old mm_struct. Reachability requires cache-aware scheduling and this cross-CPU race; the retrieved upstream material does not establish attacker privileges, a resulting crash, or privilege escalation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
