Kernel memory corruption via RX descriptor off-by-one
Published Oct 6, 2026 · Updated Oct 6, 2026
Out-of-bounds access in the Bluetooth PCIe driver in Linux 6.10 allows attackers to corrupt kernel memory via an invalid RX descriptor index. btintel_pcie_submit_rx() accepts an index equal to the RX queue length, allowing btintel_pcie_prepare_rx() to access descriptor arrays beyond their allocated ends. Exposure requires an affected kernel using the Intel Bluetooth PCIe driver and an RX queue index that reaches the queue length; no network-only trigger is documented.
