CVE-2026-98277Hinoki check available

Transmit-queue stall via omitted doorbell write

Published Oct 6, 2026 · Updated Oct 6, 2026

A transmit-queue stall in Linux 6.11 interrupts outbound traffic when the final packet of a burst is dropped by the fbnic driver. In fbnic_tx_map(), packets marked xmit_more defer the hardware doorbell and completion request, but error paths fail to flush earlier descriptors when the expected final packet is discarded. The affected host must use the fbnic transmit path and encounter a final-packet drop; the flaw was reproduced under QEMU with injected DMA-mapping failure, with no attacker-controlled trigger documented.
