CVE-2026-98270

Host crash via unchecked RAS pointers

Published Oct 6, 2026 · Updated Oct 6, 2026

A null-pointer dereference in the AMDGPU NBIO v7.9 RAS handler in Linux 6.6 and later allows a host crash when a hardware interrupt arrives. The handler dereferences RAS context and PCIE_BIF object pointers even though their lookup functions can return NULL. The crash requires an interrupt during the initialization window after the fatal-error interrupt is enabled but before the RAS object exists; no attacker-controlled trigger is documented.
