Incorrect DMA mapping via 32-bit length overflow
Published Oct 6, 2026 · Updated Oct 6, 2026
Integer overflow in Linux 6.19 dma-buf mapping allows attackers to cause truncated scatter-gather lengths during peer-to-peer DMA. In dma_buf_phys_vec_to_sgt(), the 32-bit mapped_len accumulator wraps when it adds physical-vector lengths totaling more than 4 GiB, then passes the truncated length to fill_sg_entry(). The documented trigger requires an MMIO region larger than 4 GiB and peer-to-peer DMA through a host bridge; the sources do not establish a network trigger or a specific crash or data-disclosure outcome.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
