Kernel heap disclosure via unchecked datagram copy
Published Oct 6, 2026 · Updated Oct 6, 2026
Information disclosure in Linux kernels with the MHI MBIM WWAN driver allows context-dependent attackers to inject kernel heap bytes into packets. In mhi_mbim_rx(), modem-controlled datagram offsets can exceed the received buffer, but the driver ignores a failed skb_copy_bits() call and forwards an uninitialized packet buffer. Exploitation requires control of modem-supplied MBIM transfer data; the demonstrated consequence is exposure inside the network stack, not proven remote retrieval.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
