Wi-Fi autosuspend failure via leaked runtime-PM reference
Published Oct 6, 2026 · Updated Oct 6, 2026
A runtime-PM reference leak in affected Linux wlcore revisions prevents Wi-Fi autosuspend after a regulatory-domain command fails. In wlcore_regdomain_config(), a failed wlcore_cmd_regdomain_config_locked() queues recovery but skips pm_runtime_put_autosuspend(), leaving its earlier runtime-PM reference outstanding. The path requires a wlcore device with the regulatory-domain configuration quirk and a command failure; the published patch does not establish that attackers can trigger that failure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
